These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of local. ("we", "us", "our") services, including our website, dashboard, and loyalty card platform. By using local. you agree to these Terms.
local. provides a digital loyalty card platform for small businesses. We issue Apple Wallet and Google Wallet loyalty cards on behalf of businesses, and provide a scanning and management dashboard.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, though we'll always give reasonable notice where possible.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a local. business account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
local. operates on a monthly subscription model. Plans are billed in Australian Dollars (AUD). Your subscription renews automatically each month unless cancelled before the renewal date.
The 7-day free trial does not charge your card. After the trial ends, your selected plan billing begins. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email before any price change takes effect.
You agree not to use local. to:
When customers join your loyalty programme, their data (name, contact details, visit history) is collected on your behalf. You are the data controller for your customers' information. You must have a lawful basis for collecting and using their data under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We act as a data processor on your behalf. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle data.
local. and its platform, code, design, and branding are owned by us. By using local., you don't acquire any ownership rights to our intellectual property.
You retain ownership of your business name, logo, and any content you upload to the platform. You grant us a licence to display your branding within your loyalty cards and dashboard.
To the extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, local. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the relevant claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where those rights cannot be excluded.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach these Terms. You can cancel your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days then deleted, unless we're required to retain it by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
